A new season of ‘The Voice’ premiered this week and one local man knows exactly what the new contestants are going through.
North Hills native Chris Jamison, who has family in Butler County, was on Season 7 of the show in 2014 and made it into the finale.
Since the show, Chris says he has had to get used to people recognizing him. He decided to take a break from college and pursue a music career full-time.
“I released a four track EP,” Jamison said. “I got a chance to be apart of the writing for every single song on the project. It’s kind of like my entrance into the real music world.”
Chris will be performing a benefit concert Oct. 6 at Jergel’s Rhythm Grille in Warrendale for his aunt that battles multiple sclerosis.
“The Voice” airs Mondays and Tuesdays on NBC.
