People who want to contribute to a discussion about Pennsylvania’s drug crisis are welcome to pick up the phone and do so later today.
The first of five special Tele-Town Halls will begin at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday.
The goal of the gathering is to provide information to the public about what the state legislature is doing to combat the rampant use of heroin and opioids. Experts and special guests will also be on hand during the call to answer questions.
Those interested in participating should sign up ahead of time by going to acommonwealthcrisis.com or by texting “talkheroin” to 828282.
Drug related overdose deaths in Pennsylvania increased by over 200 percent from 2014 to 2015, according to officials.
