The Butler Area Transit Authority will be hiring a new facility employee.
The authority’s personnel committee recommended approving the part-time position to help with the increasing responsibilities of the facilities manager.
This employee would work up to 29 hours per week at a rate of $13 per hour to start. This is a hands-on position that could include further training and advancement.
The authority was substantially under-budget this year so there in no concern about paying for the new position. There is no definitive date the position must be filled by, with authority staff instead focusing on finding the right person for the job.
