Pennsylvania’s Speaker of the House says he will not be running for re-election this year.
Republican State Representative Mike Turzai of the North Hills says he’s stepping away from politics after he finishes this current term.
The 60-year-old Turzai has been speaker since 2015 and was first elected to the house in 2001.
He also briefly ran for governor in 2018.
