Butler County Community College is teaming up with a local business to offer a unique program for students considering manufacturing careers.
An open house will be held Wednesday, Sept. 14 from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Carl E. Jones Learning Center at Penn United Technologies for those interested in learning more about the manufacturing pre-apprenticeship certificate.
Classes will be held Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m. to noon beginning Oct. 24 into the middle of December. Students will learn basic shop safety and equipment operation, as well as blueprint reading. Penn United Staff will be on hand at the open house to lead tours and answer questions.
Penn United is located at 14 Bonniebrook Road in Cabot.
