Police had been looking for a missing 13-year-old girl from Clarion County all weekend and now, they say she has been found dead.
Authorities say the body of Shevy Lynn McGiffin was found Sunday afternoon in Trout Run near the Clarion River.
She left her home in Clarion Township about 7 p.m. Friday to go to the store. She was last seen Friday night near the Comet Food Warehouse and Dollar General.
Police have not named any suspects or released the cause or manner of her death. They say this is an active investigation.
