Area residents are invited to an oil field demonstration this weekend in Prospect.
The Muddy Creek Oil Field, which is a restoration site of an antique oil well, is open this Saturday from 11am to 5pm, and will allow visitors to see and learn about our region’s oil industry.
Volunteers will be on-site to operate the equipment, which includes the site’s Bessemer Gas Engine, and to answer any questions. Light refreshments will also be available.
The Muddy Creek Oil Field is located at 195 Park Road in Prospect, and the demonstration is behind the State Parks Region 2 offices.
