A local fireworks company has achieved worldwide recognition through a recent competition and award.
New Castle-based Zambelli Fireworks was awarded the top prize in the Trico Homes International Fireworks Festival. This Festival was held as part of GlobalFest in Calgary, Alberta, Canada last month.
Competitors from Brazil, Chile, and Mexico were among those participating in the festival. Participants were judged on quality of display, originality, brilliance of colors, and synchronization.
The winning Zambelli display included music from movies like How to Train Your Dragon, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, and Alice in Wonderland.
