A local man has been charged following alleged public drunkenness on a bulldozer last month.
According to a criminal complaint filed by the Zelienople Borough Police Department, officers responded to the rear of the Kaufman House lot early on the morning of August 20th where they found 25-year-old Alex Meza of Butler in the bulldozer.
Two other men ran when police arrived and Meza allegedly admitted that he was just going for a “little joyride”. Damage at the property included two large signs with stands run over as well as a concrete catch basin and 100 feet of copper water line damaged. Restitution due is over $5,000.
Meza has been charged with vandalism, criminal mischief, disorderly conduct, and public drunkenness.
