A utility pole on fire has led to around 1,100 power outages Tuesday afternoon in Butler Township.
The call came into the Butler County 911 Center at 1:15 p.m. for the pole on fire on North Eberhart Road near the dip before New Castle Road.
Around the same time, calls began to come in about traffic lights and other power outages in the area of Moraine Point Plaza.
Units from Butler Township Fire District responded to the scene to find the pole on fire and grass around the pole smoldering. No wires were on the ground. The cause of that fire is unknown at this time. Expect traffic delays in that area while crews clean up.
