The final race prior to the Chase playoffs in the Nascar Sprint Cup Series will be this Saturday at Richmond International Raceway. Three spots are available, with four drivers in the points mix unless a driver within the current top-30 overall wins the race. Chase Elliott, Austin Dillon, Jamie McMurray and Ryan Newman have the best shot at making it into the Chase based on point totals. Newman trails McMurray by seven points. At the NHRA U.S. Nationals in Indiana, Tony Schumacher won the Top Fuel division, for his 82nd career victory. It was his 10th victory of the season, something that has never been done, and guarantees him the season championship. Matt Hagan won the Funny Car. Chris McGaha won the Pro Stock division for his first career victory. Andrew Hines won the Pro Stock Motorcycle.
