The Pittsburgh Steelers visit the Carolina Panthers tonight in their final exhibition game of the season. Kick-off is 7:30pm. Pre-game on WISR 680am is 5:30pm.
The Steelers restructured wide receiver Antonio Brown’s contract Wednesday, giving Brown an additional $4 million this season. He will make just over $10 million in 2016.
The Steelers also claimed quarterback Zach Mettenberger off waivers from San Diego. He will be their third quarterback on the roster after Bruce Gradkowski was placed on injured reserve.
The NFL announced Wednesday that Steelers linebacker James Harrison has been cleared in their performance-enhancing drug investigation. They found no credible evidence in a report that was released prior to the Super Bowl and named Harrison, now-retired Denver quarterback Peyton Manning, along with Green Bay players Julius Peppers and Clay Matthews.
