The Pittsburgh Steelers have placed tight end Ladarius Green on the physically unable to perform list, meaning he will miss at least the first six weeks of the season. Green signed as a free agent in the off-season. He played with San Diego last year, but had off-season ankle surgery, and there has been concern surrounding concussion-related headaches. Second-year player Jesse James and veteran David Johnson are now the most experienced tight ends the Steelers have.
Head coach Mike Tomlin announced Tuesday that a large majority of starters will not see the field in tomorrow’s final exhibition game in Carolina.
Former Slippery Rock University offensive lineman Cory Tucker has been cut by the Cleveland Browns. Tucker also spent time with the Green Bay Packers this year, after graduating from the Rock in 2015.
