Administrators at Slippery Rock University have started two new Twitter feeds in order to more effectively reach and inform students and the community.
SRU President Dr. Cheryl Norton says she’s looking forward to using social media to connect with students. Her official twitter handle is @SRUPresident.
SRU’s Office of Communication and Public Affairs will use the new handle at @SRUofPA to share news about the university with the community.
School officials say the goal of these new social media accounts will be to inform the public about upcoming events and convey necessary communication in a fast and widely available manner.
