The fall semester begins Monday at Butler County Community College but students have many new options this year when it comes to enrolling in classes.
“We have six different opportunities to enroll throughout the semester and that is really new this year,” Jessica Matonak, executive director of communications and marketing, said. “Our Session One and Fast Track One start on Aug. 29 but we have two sessions that start in September, one session in October, and you can even start classes in November.”
Also new this year, a recently renovated resource.
The Heaton Family Learning Commons will be unveiled at an event Tuesday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
“We are having an opening celebration for students, faculty and staff,” Matonak said. “It will include several speakers talking about the different features in the Learning Commons. We will have giveaways, music and food…just a big celebration.”
Speakers will include BC3 President Dr. Nick Neupauer and philanthropist Robert Heaton.
