High School Golf Thursday:
The Moniteau boys won the third KSAC “mega match” of the season, and they have won all three. Moniteau had a score of 234 to Karns City’s 245. Weston Kimmey of Moniteau had the low round of 42, tied with Clarion’s Josh Craig. Kolby Montgomery of AC Valley/Union shot 43. AC Valley/Union finished sixth.
Barry Evans of West Virginia shot a final round of -1 under (71) to win the Tri-State PGA Senior Pro Championship Thursday at Westmoreland Country Club. Evans, along with five other local golfers, have qualifed for the PGA Senior Professionals Championship next year. Among the qualifiers was John Aubrey of Dubbs Dred, who shot even par Thursday.
