Barry Evans leads Joe Boros by one stroke after the first round of the Tri-State PGA Senior Pro Championship at Westmoreland Country Club. Evans, from West Virginia, shot an opeing round of -2 under 69. John Aubrey of Dubbs Dred is five strokes back at +3 over 74.
The Butler boys golf team defeated Shaler 206-210 Wednesday to improve to 3-0 overall. They are now 1-0 in section play. Brock Hinton led Butler with a 39. Nick Huff shot 40. Butler will host Pine-Richland at Hiland Golf Course Friday.
