Renovations are planned at a well-known feature of a local state park beginning next week.
The historic covered bridge over the Slippery Rock Creek at McConnells Mill State Park will close beginning this Monday, August 29th for renovations.
The bridge is owned and maintained by Lawrence County and a detour will be posted using state and township roads.
The closure is expected to last for two months. The Historic Gristmill will remain open through renovations.
