The Pittsburgh Pirates won their third game in a row last night with a 4-3 win over the San Francisco Giants last night. Jung Ho Kang hit his 14th home run of the season for the game winner in the eighth inning. Andrew McCutchen had two hits, including his second triple of the season. Jameson Taillon allowed three earned runs in his start over six innings. Tony Watson stranded two runners in the ninth inning for his sixth save.
The Pirates improved to 60-56 overall, and remain one game out of playoff spot.
The Bucs go for a series sweep today at 3:45pm. Pre-game on WISR 680am will be 3:20pm. Ivan Nova will make the start for the Pirates. Matt Cain will start for the Giants.
