State police in Mercer were called to the scene of a one vehicle crash early Thursday morning in Shenango Twp.
According to the report the driver, 32-year-old Paul Savon of Youngstown OH, was traveling east on I-80 when he looked down at his phone. This caused him to lost control of the vehicle and slam into the guide rail. The car came to rest partially in the right lane.
Savon’s car had to be towed from the scene and he was wearing his seat belt. He was cited for careless driving.
