The Butler Farm Show is underway and you may have noticed some differences in the amusement rides.
Ken Metrick, a board member of the farm show, spoke to our radio station and said the company who brings the rides into the farm show has changed.
J&J Amusements was a part of the event for many years. Metrick says they were like part of the family but The Bates Brothers were willing to work under the price structure the farm show had put forth. He says the farm show is pleased to have the new company aboard.
Also new this year, the ox team demonstration and the Auditorium Pavilion is now being sponsored by Rural King.
Gates open at 8:30 a.m. daily, with rides starting up at 1 p.m. American Idol contestant and WBUT Country Showdown winner Isaac Cole will perform Wednesday at 7 p.m. and 9 p.m.
The Butler Farm Show continues this week through Saturday.
