A local borough will host a free ice cream social Sunday afternoon to celebrate its 175th anniversary.
Slippery Rock Borough, located in the northern part of the county, will host the social today from 1pm until 3pm on North Main Street near Slippery Rock Elementary.
Those attending today’s event are encouraged to come in costumes from any year between 1841 and 2016.
