Officers from the Butler Township Police Department will participate in ‘National Night Out’ Tuesday evening to continue to strengthen police-community partnerships and make our neighborhoods safer.
The campaign will be held in communities across the country, including at the St. John the Baptist Byzantine Catholic Church Education Center on Kohler Avenue in Lyndora beginning at 6 p.m.
Officers and the Butler Township commissioners will talk with people in the center’s parking lot before walking up Bessemer and Penn avenues meeting neighborhood residents.
This is the 33rd year for the ‘National Night Out’ campaign, which is sponsored by the National Association of Town Watch. This is the second year an event has been held locally.
