Heavy storms caused damage as they moved through the Butler County area Monday afternoon.
Multiple trees on power lines along Old Route 422 in Franklin Township around 2 p.m. has resulted in wires down in several places. Part of that road has been closed until crews can address that situation.
A pole was reported to be on fire on East Brady Street in the City of Butler. The cause of that incident is unknown at this time but damage is believed to be isolated.
A tree fell onto the 400 block of Portman Road in Summit Township. Crews are working to get that section of road passable.
Finally, a call came in to the Butler County 911 Center for wires down in Petrolia Borough on Argyle Street. It may be some time before crews are able to address that scene.
