Local children are invited to Alameda Park later this week for a Bug Safari.
On Wednesday, event goers are asked to go to Shelter 2 at the park to learn more about the various types of bugs that we can find in western Pennsylvania.
Those planning to attend are asked to bring their own jars with lids so they can catch and release some of the insects that are discussed during the one hour program, which begins at 7:30pm.
The cost for the event is $3 per child, and it is recommended to wear long slacks and bug repellent. The event will be cancelled if it rains.
