A Fayette County commissioner was shot early Sunday and now his wife has been charged.
Vince Vicites, 56, was shot in the neck about 1 a.m. at his home. He was flown to a West Virginia hospital.
Police say Deanna Vicites, 47, has been charged with attempted homicide.
Vicites, a Democrat from Uniontown, served four terms as a commissioner from 1996 to 2011. He ran again for the board last year and won a seat in November.
