Those interested in learning more about the industrial history of the McConnells Mill area are welcome to join a hike later today.
The guided trail walk along the three-quarter mile Hell’s Hollow path will begin at 1:30 p.m. and continue until about 3:30 p.m.
This valley has a largely unknown history of iron smelting, charcoal making, and lime processing.
Those planning to attend should meet at the Hell’s Hollow Parking Lot which is about a 15 minute drive from the old mill.
