The Butler Township Fire District will host a Community Day on Saturday.
The free event begins at 2 p.m. at the fire station on Sparks Avenue in Butler. There will be free refreshments, fire safety demonstrations and children will be able to tour a LifeFlight helicopter and an ambulance.
The event celebrates the final piece of the district’s consolidation- the addition of two new fire engines. The former Lyndora, Meridian and Greenwood Village volunteer fire departments merged last year to become the Butler Township Fire District.
