A truck driver was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital Thursday after a crash on Route 422 in Summit Township.
According to State Police, 75-year-old Arthur Purdy of New York was traveling west on Route 422 near Geibel Road about 2 p.m. when he lost control of his tractor trailer as he attempted to slow down for a vehicle that was stopped in front of him waiting to make a turn.
His truck veered off the road and crashed into a ditch.
Purdy’s current condition is unknown.
