An overnight accident has shut down a portion of Route 8 in both directions in northern Allegheny County.
The crash happened early Friday on Route 8 at Glenshaw Crossing in Shaler Township.
A car crashed into the guardrail between Pennview Avenue and Butler Plank Road and a pole is in the middle of the road blocking the highway.
One person was reportedly taken to the hospital.
It’s unclear how long the road will be shut down.
