After a few recent incidents, the Butler Transit Authority has revised several of their policies.
First, the authority clarified their medical emergency policy in order to provide drivers and staff in the event of a medical emergency on a bus or at an authority facility.
Second, after a bike with an oversized wheel fell off an authority bus bike rack and was damaged, the authority created a policy to clearly outline bicycle procedures and rules on the bus.
Finally, a code of conduct policy was approved by the authority’s board of directors which establishes how riders may interact with drivers and other riders. If certain aspects of these rules are not followed, a rider could be banned from the bus.
These policies will be posted in their entirety to the Transit Authority’s website at butlertransitauthority.com.
