Those looking for an enjoyable outdoor activity this weekend are welcome to head out to McConnells Mill.
A guided walk focusing on the Native Plants of the Summer is scheduled for 1:30 to 3 p.m. Sunday at the Gristmill Courtyard.
Those attending will learn about wild plants currently in bloom as well as habitats in the Slippery Rock Gorge area.
Participants should park in the Kildoo Picnic area and walk down to the mill, meeting in the courtyard native plant garden.
