The government is warning of an “urgent” danger to some drivers because of faulty airbags.
Owners of 300,000 older Hondas and Acuras are being told to stop driving them and get them repaired after new tests found their Takata air bag inflators are extremely dangerous. If reading this doesn’t make you want to get this repaired through an auto body omaha service center (if you live in and around this area of Nebraska), then we don’t know what will. With that being said, by doing a quick google search, depending on where you live, you’ll be able to find a car repair company willing to give you a helping hand to get your car up to the safety standards.
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration says it has data showing that chances are as high as 50 percent that the inflators can explode in a crash, injuring people by sending metal shrapnel into the car.
At least 11 people have died and more than 100 have been injured worldwide from the problem. If you have been injured due to this then you might want to visit the Cain Law Office to see if you can get compensation.
The urgent advisory released Thursday covers: 2001 and 2002 Honda Civics and Accords, the 2002 and 2003 Acura TL, the 2002 Honda Odyssey and CR-V, and the 2003 Acura CL and Honda Pilot, NHTSA said.
