Thursday is the final day for some county residents to pay their real estate taxes without a penalty.
The Butler County Treasurer’s Office says residents in Butler City, as well as Callery, Valencia and West Sunbury boroughs, must pay their county taxes in person or have a check postmarked by today in order to avoid a penalty. This is also the final day that Butler City and school per-capita taxes can be paid at face value.
The Butler County treasurer’s office is located inside the Government Center on West Diamond Street. The office is open from 8:30 a.m. to 4:15 p.m. The Butler City Treasurer is located in the Butler City Building on West North Street in Butler.
