A record number of drivers are expected to hit the road for the 4th of July holiday weekend this year.
AAA is predicting almost 43 million Americans will be traveling between Thursday, June 30 and Monday, July 4.
That number would mean a 1 percent increase from last year and 5 million more people than the number who traveled over Memorial Day weekend earlier this year.
