A gun was found in possession of a student on the campus of Seneca Valley Intermediate High School.
According to a message posted to the district’s website, all students and staff are safe.
Jackson Township Police, school police, and administrators started an investigation shortly after the start of school Tuesday after a report was made that a gun was seen in possession of a student.
The gun was found in the glove compartment of the student’s vehicle and police believe it was sold to that student by another student. Both students have been taken into police custody and removed from campus.
More information will be made public as it becomes available.
