A woman is facing charges for pointing a gun at several postal employees in Cranberry Township.
The incident happened earlier this month (June 4) at the bulk mail center on Pennwood Place but 22-year-old Ashya McKay was not arrested until Monday.
Authorities say a man pulling into the facility saw McKay standing nearby and waving a handgun in the air. She then allegedly confronted two employees and pointed the gun at them.
The employees told McKay the police had been called…which prompted her to allegedly walk back to her vehicle, climb on the roof, jump up and down and point the handgun at drivers and other employees. She then drove away.
No one was hurt.
McKay previously worked at a bulk mail center in nearby Warrendale but she is no longer employed. She remains in the Butler County Prison.
