The Zelienople Historical Society presented three awards to community members at their annual membership dinner earlier this month.
At Passavant Senior Life Center June 9th, Jan Maharg was given the Angel Award for her work restoring the interior of the 1805 Christian Buhl House which is Zelienople’s oldest structure.
The Legacy Award was presented to Robert Householder for his continued efforts to restore buildings on Main Street. The group gave Andrew Beneigh of Beneigh Insurance the Preservation Award for his work to retain original elements of his newly renovated office.
Guest speaker Wayne Cole presented a slide show about the former Harmony Short Line Railroad.
