A local man has been arrested for allegedly burning his girlfriend with a lit cigarette.
The Butler Township Police responded to a call early last Sunday morning (6/19) in Lyndora.
A woman told officers that 49-year-old Michael Daugherty burned her arm with a lit cigarette following a domestic dispute. Daugherty denies that version of events, saying that after drinking wine and playing guitar, he fell asleep and his girlfriend left.
Daugherty is currently in the Butler County Prison facing charges including misdemeanor simple assault and harassment.
