The Butler School Board is expected to vote Monday on the final budget for next school year.
If it’s adopted as it currently stands, property taxes will increase by 3-mills. The average property owner in the district would pay about $53 more than last year.
The tax hike would help offset an anticipated $4 million deficit for the 2016-17 year. The 3-mill tax hike is the maximum allowed by the state.
The district must pass a final budget by June 30.
