The Moniteau Warriors softball team have advanced to their first-ever state championship game after a 3-0 victory over South Park Monday. Kennedy DeMatteis allowed just three hits and two walks while striking out eight. It was Moniteau’s 21st shut-out of the season, and 11th shut-out in a row. During the current 11-shut-out streak, the have outscored their opponents 110-0. Their record improved to 24-1. The Warriors travel to State College Thursday to meet Holy Redeemer in the state championship game in Class Double-A. The game begins at 3pm at Penn State University Nittany Park.
