This weekend’s Bantam Jeep Heritage Festival is starting a bit earlier than in years past.
Activities will begin Thursday evening with a night ride.
“It’s the first time we’ve ever done this,” Director Patti Jo Lambert says. “We are going to take about 100 Jeeps and we’re going to run on the trail in the dark.”
The Bantam Jeep Night Ops Mission 2016 begins Thursday at 9:30 p.m. and will continue until about 11:30 p.m. at Coopers Lake Campground near Slippery Rock.
“It’s a whole new experience driving at night versus driving during the day where you can see the little dips and things that you are going to be driving through,” Lambert says.
The Bantam Jeep Heritage Festival continues through Sunday with events at both Cooper’s Lake Campground and downtown Butler.
