A Butler man has been charged with vehicular homicide for a crash last summer that killed a Lawrence County man.
State Police allege Zachary Sawyer, 33, of West Fulton Street was criminally negligent when he took his antique farm tractor, that had no working taillights, out on Route 19 after sunset last July.
Earl Tindall, 76, of traveling in a Jeep Liberty behind the tractor when he crashed into it. He died as a result of injuries he sustained in that crash.
Police say there are no indications Tindall saw the tractor or even attempted to slow down.
Authorities say Sawyer was also driving his tractor significantly under the speed limit at the time of the crash.
