The Pittsburgh Pirates defeated the Colorado Rockies 6-3 Monday afternoon at PNC Park. Josh Harrison led the Bucs with two hits and two RBI’s. Pirate starter Ryan Vogelsong was hit in the head with a pitch during an at-bat. He was carted from the field and admitted to Allegheny General Hospital. Wilfredo Boscan pitched four innings of relief after Vogelsong was injured and picked up his first major league win.
The Bucs host the Arizona Diamondbacks tonight at 7:05pm. They now trail the Chicago Cubs by five games after the Cubs fell to St. Louis 4-3 last night.
