A local municipality has been awarded a large amount of money to help with safety improvement projects.
According to State Senator Scott Hutchinson, Cranberry Township will receive over $286,000 to provide pedestrian upgrades at the intersection of North Boundary and Marshall Roads.
The upgrades will include improved pedestrian connections and new sections of sidewalk.
The money is being awarded as part of the Automated Red Light Enforcement Fund which uses money collected from red light violations at 28 intersections in Philadelphia for projects that improve safety.
