Two local municipalities are among those collecting grant money from the state for traffic signal improvements.
Butler Township will be awarded nearly $44,000 to make improvements at the intersections of Whitestown Road with Meridian, South Eberhart and South Duffy roads.
Cranberry Township has been awarded $50,000 to install adaptive software that will adjust signal timing based on traffic conditions along Route 19 at Cranberry Square Drive, Short Street, and St Francis Way.
The grants are funded through PennDOT’s Green Light Go Program which provides up to half the money needed for traffic signal projects.
