A 16-year-old boy walking home from a prom after-party was killed early Saturday in Indiana County after a driver struck him.
The incident happened in Pine Township on Mt. Zion Road about 4 a.m.
Police say 10th grader Kai Paul Hrabovsky died of blunt force trauma after he was struck by a 20-year-old man in a Jeep Wrangler.
The driver was southbound when he missed a curve, left the road and struck the teen, who was walking west along the road.
The driver fled the scene and was taken into custody at his home. Authorities questioned and released him. Charges are pending further investigation.
