The oldest person in Pennsylvania died Saturday.
Irene Ciuffoletti of Westmoreland County was 113. She was born in Italy in 1903 and was 11 when World War I started.
A global group of researchers known as the Gerontology Research Group track supercentenarians, or those older than 110. They listed Ciuffoletti as the oldest person in our state and the fourth-oldest in the country.
