Two local parks are encouraging people to get out and enjoy the spring weather this Mother’s Day.
Both McConnells Mill State Park and Jennings Environmental Education Center are holding Spring Wildflower walks beginning at 2 p.m.
The McConnells Mill event will meet at Hell’s Hollow and be guided by a park naturalist. This mile stroll will be on an easy trail and last about 90 minutes.
The Jennings walk will also last about 90 minutes. Staff members from Jennings will discuss the unique history, uses and stories behind spring flowers.
