State police in Kittanning were called to the scene of a three vehicle collision on route 422 westbound.
The crash occurred shortly after 3:00 p.m. at the intersection of route 422 and Glade Run Rd. Police say that 40-year-old Raymond Dougherty of Ford City, PA pulled out in front of a vehicle driven by 68-yera-old Priscilla Dougherty while he was trying to crossover route 422 from Glade Run Rd. The second vehicle slid into a farm tractor that was parked along the side of the road. The driver of the tractor was uninjured.
A passenger in Priscilla’s vehicle was flown by helicopter to Pittsburgh to treat his injuries. Route 422 was shut down for a little over an hour while crews cleaned up the wreckage.
